Since mid-October, a cheerful pumpkin has adorned my front porch, bringing a warm touch of autumn to my home. Little did I know, this festive decoration would become a five-star buffet for the neighborhood wildlife!
It all started last week when I noticed some chew marks on the pumpkin. Soon, a small hole appeared, and the culprit revealed itself—a squirrel happily nibbling away, holding pieces of pumpkin in its tiny paws like a gourmet snack.
Today there were four squirrels munching to their hearts’ content all day.
The squirrels have turned the pumpkin into their personal buffet, and with the cold weather, it’s a perfect source of energy for them.

A couple of the squirrels quickly dart in and out of the pumpkin, but this cutie enjoys lingering inside.

Maybe the deer will stop by for a taste too.
