Watch this adorable koala come to life in my sketchbook. This short mixed-media process video captures parts of the journey from the initial graphite sketch to the finished painting. I used a ton of supplies on this one—gouache, InkTense blocks, watercolor pencils, colored pencils, Neocolor II art crayons, ink pens, white gel pens, and a white Posca marker. So much layering, and so much fun!
Fun koala facts: Koalas sleep up to 18–22 hours a day—and they’re not actually bears! These sleepy creatures are marsupials and spend most of their time in eucalyptus trees.
