I was inspired by Winnie, a 6-year-old shelter dog at the NH Humane Society who had been waiting for someone to choose her for quite a while. She reminded me of a beloved dog I had who still holds a big piece of my heart.
Winnie’s hopeful eyes stayed with me and inspired this painting.
