Shelter Cat Portrait – Painted Using Toy Monsters

I used toy monsters to paint this portrait of Harvey – a spicy, playful shelter cat who is full of pizazz.
The monsters and bright colors capture his spirit. He is a bit worried, so I tucked him behind some plants for comfort. Also hidden in the painting is a tiny heart that represents all the love he’s ready to give.

🎨 Watch his portrait come to life here:

At the time of this painting, Harvey was still looking for adoption from MSPCA Nevins Farm in Methuen MA. Sharing his story helps shelter pets like him find their forever homes — and there are so many ways to help, from adopting or fostering to simply spreading the word. At the time of this painting, Harvey was still looking for adoption — see the video comments on youtube for his shelter link and updates.

This video is part of my Painting Shelter Pets series, where I use art to highlight adoptable cats and dogs and raise awareness for animal shelters and rescues. If Harvey’s story touches your heart, consider visiting your local shelter — fostering, adopting, volunteering, or even simply sharing an animal’s story can make a big difference.
